My goal has been to listen to as many people as I could from both sides of the table, in order to get a diversity of opinions on this controversial subject.

Whilst I have been doing these interviews, many people have said to me that no problem exists and that women can be as easily funded as men if they have a great idea, team, plan and advisors. However the statistics show another story.

Wouldn’t it be great if there was a single website with everything from language lessons and soccer camps to parades and puppet shows to kid friendly restaurants and museums?

What Startups And Where Venture Capitalists Have Funded In 2011

Analysis of venture funding from a variety of data sources revealed some interesting facts about last quarter’s deal flow.

Last quarter, venture capital firms invested $6.95 billion into 876 deals, averaging $7.9 million per deal, with the vast majority of funding funneling out of Silicon Valley in the form of expansion and later-stage investments in the software and biotech industries.

6waves-Lolapps Launches First Mobiles Game: Yeti Town

Both games are developed by Escalation Studios in Dallas. Splode is a relaxing musical game and Yeti Town is an adorable matching game. So much for "quiet".

Within less than 24 hours, Yeti Town reached the top spot in the iOS App Store's free section. Splode is currently the top Family Game in 12 countries. 6waves-Lolapps is headquartered in Hong Kong and our largest office is in San Francisco.

Beyond the heartbreak of spending that much on one item, it can only be worn once, and you need to find space to store it in your 400 sq ft apartment.

Hence Something Borrowed NY was born. We wanted to rent designer bridal gowns from a store in NYC to brides like us; ones who loved high fashion, hated the price tag, and didn’t value the possession of a one-time wear item.
