Another month, a new city and the best of all October City Meetups! By Ayesha Rizvi (Multimedia & Editorial Assistant, Women 2.0)
Our City Meetups kicked off in more than 10 cities across the world this month and we launched in a brand new city; Dublin, Ireland! From founders to investors to fabulous tech stars, this month's City Meetups saw inspirational speakers, notable advice, great locations and plenty of valuable networking. Scroll through below to catch some of our favorite highlights from October City Meetups!
Hosted at The Chase in the suburban city of Sandyford in Ireland, City Meetup welcomed a new city to its networking club; hello Dublin! Our speakers included Jayne Ronayne, co-founder of KonnectAgain and MasterCard's very own chief innovation officer, Garry Lyons. Big shout out to MasterCard for helping us launch in another new city! We couldn't have done it without you.
We love City Meetup in pictures!
...and some great tweetable quotes:
Hosted by WeWork SOMA, City Meetup San Francisco was also sponsored by MasterCard and featured Alexis Giles, director of business development at SoundCloud, and Leigh Amaro, product development at MasterCard. We love the location and the overall vibe here and if you haven't had a chance to yet, definitely check out our next San Francisco City Meetup!
We were back in St. Louis at Lab 1500 this October with new and refreshing speakers! Attendees heard from Reshma Chattaram Chamberlin, CEO and co-founder of Muzio, and Christina Joerling, senior business leader at MasterCard.
We love those words of motivation!
We saw some new faces in New York at MasterCard close to the beautiful Union Square. Attendees got to hear from Kim Slate of MasterCard and Tanya Menendez, co-founder of Maker's Row.
We saw a lot of buzz in Seattle, thanks for the tweets!
...and real talk
And in Las Vegas:
Chicago also did it up big, thanks to Dev Bootcamp!
