Congrats to Ho Chi Minh City-based Greengar and co-founder and Managing Director Thuy Truong for being selected to present live at the Women 2.0 Conference on February 14 in San Francisco! The eighth startup to be announced out of a total of 10 finalists presenting, Greengar will be pitching to raise funds for developing and marketing their flagship product, Smartboard.

Greengar co-founder and CEO Thuy Truong holds a degree in Computer Science from USC but unlike other engineers, she first pursued an opportunity not in technology, but in the food and beverage industry. Having returned to Vietnam, she launched a chain of self-serve frozen yogurt shops, raising nearly $400,000 and securing prime locations in Ho Chi Minh City.

As a close friend of Greengar co-founder Elliot since their years at USC, she joined Greengar and began building Greengar’s development team in Vietnam. She successfully recruited and managed ten highly talented developers while Greengar apps surpassed 13 million total downloads. Thuy’s focus on usefulness and accessibility drives her passion for mobile technology.

Congratulations to the Greengar team for making it to the final round of the PITCH SF 2013 Startup Competition! All 10 finalists will pitching live on February 14, 2013 at the Women 2.0 Conference to investors and live audience for prizes in San Francisco.
