Val is a researcher, writer, and the Community Manager at Lips, a blockchain- and AI-enabled social commerce platform built especially for women* and the LGBTQIA+ community. Most of her work is focused on emerging technologies and making the internet a safer place for marginalized communities. She contributes to Future of Sex magazine and writes her own newsletter called 'Sextech with Val'. As an undergrad at Harvard, she studied Social Studies and Economics and wrote her senior thesis on feminist & queer theory debates about the ethics of pornography. She graduated in May 2019.
