Congrats to HouseTrip on the additional VC funding raised!
By Angie Chang (Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Women 2.0)

Holiday rental website HouseTrip for booking your vacation rental online raised $40 million Series C funding, led by Accel Partners and joined by return backers Balderton Capital and Index Ventures.

Junjun Chen co-founded HouseTrip in 2009, and has served as Chief Financial Officer since the company’s inception. Her co-founder has written an extensive blog post about starting HouseTrip from ideation to first round of funding.

HouseTrip is one more data point that married startup co-founders can succeed! HouseTrip co-founders Junjun Chen and Arnaud Bertrand met at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, a leading hospitality management school in Switzerland, and frequent travels together combined with their hospitality expertise from university sparked the birth of HouseTrip, now one of the fastest growing websites in Europe with tens of thousands of apartments in key European destinations.

Congrats to HouseTrip and team on the additional raise!
