A recent review of the most popular social media sites shows that women are gradually taking over the world of social media.

Taking information from surveys from different credible sources like Pew Research Center and Burst Media, FinancesOnline.com’s social media sites review has discovered patterns that show that not only do more women use social media than men, but they also use it for a number of different purposes and in more ways.

Furthermore, more women than men are accessing these sites using mobile technology: 46% of women use their smartphones to check their social account versus 43% for men. Given that Business Insider reports that  60% of social media time is spent on smartphones and tablets, this suggests that women may be the core audience for ‘social mobiles’.

Most significantly, the review proves that embracing online and social media marketing is absolutely vital when it comes to promoting your product to female customers, who’ll view, share and talk about what they like with a network of like-minded people.
