5 Things You Don’t Want to Forget to Bring to Vegas!

Whether you’re driving from 30 min away or flying in from another continent, here are some essentials you will want to have to make the most out of your Vegas trip.

By Jessica Schimm (Assistant Editor, Women 2.0)

Forbes recently did an article on what to wear to our conference, which inspired us to write a post to help get you prepared with some essentials.

Whether you’re coming from the snow, the rain or mild dry whether, we want to remind you that it has the potential to be warm in Vegas (weather reports currently say 70 degrees), and that should definitely be taken advantage of. Follow this list when you’re packing so you can fully participate in all the awesomeness this desert city has to offer! Plus, we are so excited to give you the list of some of our Swag-bag goodies. We can’t wait. Next week is going to be a blast!

Here are five things you don’t want to forget at home as we approach the final days until the conference.

Mobile Battery/ Phone Charger

We’ve all heard the phrase: what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. But, ehh, during the panels and keynotes speakers at our conference, we don’t believe this will be the case for many of you. With all the social media posting, photo-taking, and calls you will make, you will definitely want to keep a back-up charger or mobile battery on hand at all times in your hotel room. But good news! Turnstone is providing charging stations inside of our conference.

Something to Take Notes On

Whether it’s your iPad and stylist, iPhone or just good ole’ pen and paper, you definitely want to have something on you to take notes on, there will be too much valuable information, and no way you could remember all of it mentally alone. Be sure whatever you are using has enough paper or charge to last you throughout the two days.

Business Cards

The last thing you want to happen is to meet an investor, connect instantly, and realize you left your business cards on the table at home. Sure you can always write your number and email on a piece of paper, or have them plug it into your phone, but we still recommend business cards.

Workout Clothes

Did we mention there’s a gym? Yep, we understand that we are attracting a highly motivated crew, and would guess that most of you workout regularly -or try to, at least! And if you don’t, why not start? It would be a great way to relieve any stress from the previous week before walking through the conference doors.

Sunscreen + sunglasses + bathing suit

Seriously, where else do you get to take a dip in the pool in the middle of November except in the middle of the desert?! Time to take advantage -maybe even work on your tan. We hear it’s going to be warm- relax, chill out. The pool might even be our first stop, (but shhh! don’t tell anybody!)

And finally, save a little extra room in your suitcase for all the awesome swag bag items are sponsors are providing!
