Across the globe, people are marking the annual celebration of women with creative events. What are you doing to celebrate? Share your stories.

Friday is International Women’s Day, the annual celebration of female progress, accomplishment and general awesomeness. Groups around the world are getting creative in their efforts to mark the occasion, designing events as diverse as women’s accomplishments themselves (and, of course, girl geeks and female founders are getting into the act):

Cool celebrations, every one, but the event we’re most interested in, however, is yours. Be it a hackathon, a Twitter debate, a volunteer day or a simple social gathering, let us know what you’re doing to mark the occasion at your organization in the comments, and email us your entrepreneurial stories and successes at We’ll do our best to publicize these events and share your insights with the Women 2.0 community.

Looking for more information on International Women’s Day? The event’s homepage is bursting with resources and links to their extensive social presence where you can follow all the action unfolding this week.

What are you doing to celebrate International Women’s Day this Friday?
