By Angie Chang (Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Women 2.0)

We are just weeks away from Women 2.0’s first PITCH Conference in New York featuring a full day of successful women entrepreneurs as speakers. Meet CEO Amanda Steinberg, founder at DailyWorth.

Amanda will be presenting a case study about user acquisition alongside women entrepreneurs and executives who started successful high-growth companies including the female founders of Match.com, Cisco, Oxygen Network, Urban Decay and TRUSTe. Full agenda and speaker roster for PITCH NYC here.

About DailyWorth’s Amanda Steinberg:

  • Amanda is a user acquisition guru – Since DailyWorth’s launch in January 2009, they have garnered 300,000+ subscribers and a stream of media appearances, including New York Times, Forbes, USA Today and a recent two-page spread on CEO Amanda Steinberg in Cosmo!
  • She bootstrapped until she had a few thousand subscribers – When she was on the right track with DailyWorth and armed with that early progress, Amanda raised a friends and family round and used it until she had a solid base of advertisers and a formula for acquiring customers. With a solid business model, Amanda was raised more money in her series A round than targeted, reported Inc.
  • She believes in teaching women to realize their worth – “No one is going to fix financial inequity for women. We have to recognize our own self-worth, ask for higher salaries, invest more aggressively, and build our own wealth,” the DailyWorth CEO told Ladies Who Launch.
  • Amanda teaches women to play financial hardball – she says “Many women don’t have a bag of tricks when it comes to pricing, contracts, invoicing and collections. Especially collections! In areas of cash flow management, you have to be willing to play hardball. I give women a bag of tricks and teach them how to play hardball.”
