+ BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
We’re seeking a Part Time Business Development Manager to join our team.
Skills and requirements:
- Proven sales record
- Networking ability
- Full sales cycle ability, from lead generation to closing
- Knowledge of CRM’s
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
- Ability to work in a self-driven, independent manner
- Extensive contacts in large companies and/or the tech industry is a plus
Duties:
- Lead generation and sales outreach
- Negotiating and closing deals and contracts
- Tracking sales and reporting pipeline activity and status
- Managing sales for media, talent marketplace and events
- Developing sales collateral in conjunction with Women 2.0 team
- Tracking sales in CRM
Location:
NYC or San Francisco preferred, but location is open for candidates with strong network reach
Schedule:
Flexible, Part Time
Pay:
This will start as a commission-only sales position, but transition to a salaried role with the right person.

+ SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN, Summer 2017
Women 2.0 is building a future where gender is no longer a factor. Founded in April 2006, it’s now the leading media brand for women in technology. The for-profit, for-good company takes an action-oriented approach that directly addresses the pipeline from all sides: hiring, founding, investing and leading.
We’re headquartered in Central NY and have a global audience of hundreds of thousands of prominent women in tech.
We’re seeking an enthusiastic social media intern to join our team.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Candidate should be detail-oriented and precise.
- Must have previous brand social media experience.
- Experience with newsletters and/or blogs is a plus.
- Marketing experience or knowledge is a plus.
- Some design, visual or photography skills are a plus, but not necessary.
Duties:
- Managing high profile social media accounts across multiple channels, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram and more.
- Using HootSuite as the main social media management tool.
- Presenting and implementing ideas on innovative ways to grow and nurture our community online, such as through Facebook Messenger.
- Publishing newsletter in MailChimp with a team.
- Helping with the administrative side of content management in SquareSpace.
- Helping manage social media metrics/analytics.
- Helping with other administrative tasks as needed.
Location:
- Ideally the candidate is available for occasional in-person meetings in the Syracuse, NY area, but this isn’t necessary for the right candidate.
- Work can be done remotely.
Schedule:
- The internship is for Summer 2017, starting 15 May and ending 15 August, with the option to extend to the Fall semester for the right candidate.
- The schedule is flexible, but intern should be available several times a week during regular business hours for communication with the full-time team.
- The expected time commitment is a minimum of 20 hours per week, but full-time is preferred.
Pay:
A stipend is provided for this position.

- Candidate should be detail-oriented and precise.
- Experience with media and journalism is a big plus.
- Experience with editing is also a plus.
- Interviewing experience is helpful.
Duties:
- Interviewing prominent women in tech for stories.
- Investigating and writing compelling, topical stories.
- Writing and editing additional stories.
- Formatting stories in SquareSpace and Medium.
- Reviewing story submissions.
- Creating and testing newsletter in MailChimp.
- Helping with other administrative tasks as needed.
Location:
