Join in for our second live Twitter chats tomorrow at 9 a.m. with Rachel Pike, Principal at Draper Fisher Jurveston and 12 p.m. PST with Millie Tadewaldt, Venture Hacker at AngelList and Women 2.0 Live PITCH judge.
By Jessica Schimm (Assistant Editor, Women 2.0)
We were blown away with your participation in our live-Twitter chat last Wednesday! What was supposed to be a 15-minute discussion on the effects of tech industry on cities turned into an hour-long, dynamic, diplomatic discussion on whether tech is disrupting real communities, while simultaneously creating virtual ones.
We were excited to have requests for more live-Twitter chats and didn’t hesitate.
This week we’re excited to host our second round of live-Twitters chat with Women 2.0 Live PITCH Judges, Millie Tadewadlt who is a Venture Hacker at AngelList and Rachel Pike a Principal at Draper Fisher Jurveston.
When: Wednesday, January 29th
Rachel Pike 9 a.m. PST with Women 2.0 CEO Shaherose Charania
Discussion:
What has changed about the tech investment landscape in the last 3-5 years? Would you encourage early stage entrepreneurs to participate in things like the Women 2.0 PITCH Competition? What are the benefits and drawbacks? Are there two types of investors; those that invest for long-term societal impact vs. those that invest in short-term returns?
Millie Tadewaldt 12 p.m. PST with Women 2.0 CEO Shaherose Charania.
Discussion:
How can one pump up their AngelList profile? What do you look for when you’re choosing startups to feature? What are some strategies for conducting a successful fundraise on AngelList? How can I use AngelList if I’m not fundraising?
Ask questions to Shaherose and Millie and see what questions they have for you! Let us know your thoughts, this is your opportunity to engage in an open-stage discussion about it.
Use the hashtag #w2 to follow the chat. We also encourage you to use any other hashtags relevant to the conversation. Shaherose will be tweeting from the Women 2.0 handle and will sign her tweets with #SC. Millie will join from her Twitter handle @milliemay. Get your thoughts together and get ready for a lively discussion tomorrow.
Will you be joining in?
