Female Founders to Watch: New York Part 2

There are so many incredible New York founders that we had to split the list in two! Check out what other awesome women are making waves in NY.

New York is blossoming with female founders, which is why we had to give it two weeks on our Female Founders to watch list. Our CEO, Shaherose will be attending Founder Friday New York tomorrow, and can’t wait to meet some incredible female founders!

Amanda Steinberg (Founder, DailyWorth)

The Columbia University graduate founded DailyWorth, an online community for women to talk and learn about money and financial topics, in 2009. The site publishes three editions “aimed at women and entrepreneurs” every year. You can follow her on Twitter at @AmandaSteinberg

Nahema Mehta (Founder, Art Remba)

The art-tech startup aims to “democratize access to luxury art by letting you borrow and invest-to-own works from premiere galleries at accessible rates,” Nahema said in an email. Mehta comes from a background that fuses art and business. Follow her on Twitter at @ArtRemba.

Sara Holoubek (Founder, LuminaryLabs)

Luminary Labs acts as an operational consultant for innovative companies. Before founding Luminary Labs, Holoubek the Chief Strategy Officer for iCrossing and was the president of SEMPO. She is an active adviser and investor. Follow her on Twitter at @sarita.

Alexa Hirschfeld (Co-founder, Paperless Post)

Hirschfeld founded the Paperless Post with her brother in 2009. This stationary  company combines design, and communication digitally. They have raised $12.3 million since. Follow her at @alexahirschfeld

Jen Bekman (Founder & CEO, 20×200)

Bekman is the founder of and ecommerce site focused on art. The site releases affordable pieces each week ranging from exclusive works to limited-edition prints, and are currently preparing for a relaunch. Previously Bekman was at Meetup and brings her startup skills to the art world.  Follow her on @jenbee.
