This week, Joyce's current company SimpleHoney was acquired by payment company OpenCoin for an undisclosed amount. SimpleHoney built a mobile app to help you keep track of things you love.
In their blog post explaining the acquisition, Joyce explains SimpleHoney co-founders' interest in alternative currency (ie. Bitcoin). She writes "At OpenCoin, we will be establishing their consumer-engagement team and will be focused on usability – making all virtual currencies and the Ripple network easy for people to understand and use. We are excited to be part of this movement so stay tuned for great things to come!"
