Yesterday, the company announced receiving $4.75 million Series A, led by Baseline Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation by Western Technology Investment. Stitch Fix is a subscription-based personal stylist/shopping/delivery service.

A software developer and former public school math teacher, Jennifer Medbery founded Kickboard for teachers, raising a $2.8 million Series A round of funding led by New Markets Venture Partners and Two Sigma Ventures. Kickboard is an analytics platform for teachers and schools that captures, analyzes and shares student performance data. CEO Jenifer Medbery was recently listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 In Education.

Meanwhile, former Starbucks exec Jane Park founded Julep Beauty in May 2007 and is still CEO of the Seattle-based cosmetics company with e-commerce platform. She announced this week raising $10.3 million Series B, led by VC firm Andreessen Horowitz with participation from Maveron, Western Technology Investments and Version One Ventures. Julep launched in 2007 as a single salon catering to group mani-pedis.
