Describe the moment when you decided to become an angel
:

I wanted to help out startups in emerging countries focusing on social enterprises.

What are your investment deal-breakers?
No clear, feasible exit strategy? No investment.

What types of companies do you look to invest in?
I like to invest in companies that focus on health and sustainability and tech/mobile.

What do you look for in an entrepreneur/founding team?
A well-rounded team that has a combined expertise in business, technology and industry background.

How has your background played a role in your angel investing?
Having worked for a few startups in Silicon Valley ranging from a small company (<100 employees) to a mid-sized startup (300-500 employees), I have witnessed first-hand the challenges that come with building, launching, and marketing a new product/solution.

One piece of advice to an angel-in-training?
Get to know who you are investing in and know how your skills can contribute to the success of the company.

One piece of advice to an entrepreneur looking for capital?
Be prepared to explain why you reached out to a specific angel investor/group.

What does impact investing mean to you?
It means making an investment in companies that have diverse founders or have a disruptive product/solution for social good.

In a span of ten years, I lived in six countries.
