How To Handle Rejection From Investors [VIDEO Series]

Former Shark Tank Contestant and PITCH Finalist teaches us how to handle rejection, in three simple steps.

By Ayesha Rizvi (Multimedia & Editorial Assistant, Women 2.0)

Our second video of our HowTo video series is out and it’s all about dealing with rejection and moving on from it. Rejection comes in all shapes and sizes, whether you’ve been pitching your company before investors, or to the live judges in our PITCH competition, it’s always hard to deal with.  This week’s video sheds light on how to see the positive side of things when your company lacks what investors are looking for.

About Bea Arthur

She’s an established psychotherapist and entrepreneur devoted to transforming traditional therapy into a more affordable and approachable experience. Founder of Pretty Padded Room, Bea Arthur, has worked with a variety of populations including addicts in recovery, couples in crisis, and survivors of domestic violence and hopes to bring peace and power to women everywhere through her telemedicine platform. Arthur won the people’s choice award for our PITCH competition in February of this year, got an entry into Y-Combinator and she is also a Lunch Mentor at our upcoming HowTo conference this fall! Pretty impressive, right? But that doesn’t mean she faced no rejection during her climb up the success ladder.

Check out her experience on ABC’s Shark Tank from Season 4 that aired in February of 2013.

Meet Bea during a Lunch Mentorship Session at our HowTo  Conference September 30 – October 1!
