Female Founders to Watch: 2014 Women 2.0 Conference PITCH Finalists

Get to know the female founders of PITCH SF 2014.

Our San Francisco conference is less than a week away and all who purchased a conference ticket get to watch our signature PITCH competition. Here are the female founders who will be competing in front of our live judges.

alexaAlexa Buffum (Co-founder & CEO, Agorique)

Prior to starting Agorique, Buffum worked as a senior analyst with a software consulting firm and was a consultant for a forensic and litigation firm. She has a billingual MBA from IESE.

 

stephanie
Stephanie Halphen (Co-founder & CMO, Agorique)

Halphen also has an MBA from IESE. She worked as a consultant for media companies and gained her knowledge of the fashion industry working in the wholesale and marketing divisions of independent fashion brands.

Ivana Schnur (Co-founder & Chief Medical Officer, Sense.ly)
 

Before developing the “Siri-like” assistant for chronic illness, Schnur helped to found InWorld Solutions. She started her career in clinical pharmacology and researched the effects of pain on the quality of life.

Sheri Atwood (Co-founder & CEO, SupportPay)

Atwood was the youngest VP at Symantec. She is a single mom who is passionate about making parents and children’s lives better.

 

lorenaLorena Chiu (Co-founder & CTO, SupportPay)

Chiu is a former IT executive and a mother of two. She is responsible for development and operations at SupportPay.

Bea Arthur (Founder & CEO, Pretty Padded Room)

Arthur experience in field of psychotherapy, she’s started two wellness-based businesses and is a woman’s advocate.

Rachel Becker (COO, Pretty Padded Room)

Becker is a licensed social worker with a background in psycho-oncology. She is also a therapist for Pretty Padded Room.

Conophy studied design & management at Parsons the New School for Design and was previously an Experience Strategist branding & innovation agency Vivaldi Partners Group.

Ashley Wilson (Co-founder & CMO, RenterResume)

Wilson is a liscenced realtor and has also been a landlord. She is an “avid #juicer & lover of things real estate & tech.”

Cai is a former buyer at Gucci and worked Harper’s Bazaar, Oscar de la Renta, Lanvin and Intermix.

Vicky Wu (Co-founder, Zaozao)

Wu is a Harvard graduate and formerly worked at Goldman Sachs as an investment banker.

 

 

misaMisa Chein (Co-founder & CEO, Fosubo)

Chein came up with the idea for Fosubo (stands for Forget the Suggestions Box) after her experience with her previous business Nom Nom Truck.

 

kimKim Taylor (Co-founder & CEO, Ranku)

Before launching Ranku, Taylor was the director of an ad tech startup, and before that worked at Alloy Media. She guest lectures at the entrepreneurship program at UC Berkeley.

 

ceceliaCecilia Retelle (Co-founder & COO, Ranku)

Retelle is the Senior Director of Education Policy at the US Chamber of Commerce. She is also a lawyer, teacher and was previously a lobbyist for the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.

 

janelle
Janelle Maiocco (Chief Executive Officer, Farmstr)

Maiocco,grew up in an agricultural community and is a trained food chef. She has more than 12 years experience working as a marketing consultant, doing social media and blogging for food companies.
