Our Latest PITCH Prize + New Speakers and Live Judge

Our newest conference speakers and PITCH updates! See you next week!

If you needed a few more reasons to spend your Valentine’s Day (and the day before) with us – we have them. Our two-day conference (Feb. 13th and 14th) is less than 14 days away, and we are excitedly hustling here at Women 2.0 HQ to prep everything for the big days. Here’s our newest conference announcements!

Newest PITCH prize

The winner determined by the live PITCH judges of the Women 2.0 PITCH Competition 2014 San Francisco will get a meeting with an investing partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm providing seed, venture and growth-stage funding to technology companies.

New PITCH Live Judge

Christine Tsai, Partner at 500 Startups (which is growing frantically) will be joining us as a PITCH live judge.

Previously she spent many years at Google and YouTube on products including Adsense, Google Analytics, YouTube APIs/syndication and developer products. Before life in consumer internet, Christine worked in international sales at OSIsoft and refining central technologies at ChevronTexaco. Christine holds a B.A. in cognitive science from the University of California at Berkeley.

New Speakers

Holly Liu, Co-founder & Chief of Staff at Kabam, the leader in the western world for free-to-play core games, will be joining our speaker lineup!

Holly oversees Kabam’s corporate culture  and talent, which is responsible for driving Kabam’s vision, mission, and values for its more than 775 employees in offices around the world. Holly has helped build a world-class human resources team that is responsible for recruiting and retaining top talent and has grown Kabam’s personnel base by 500% in three years.

Prior to her role as Chief of Staff, Holly was VP of People Ops and Director of User Experience. She led the product design for Kabam’s award-winning Kingdom’s of Camelot, which has grown into a $250 million franchise in less than four years. Holly was also an initial designer for the mobile extension Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, which was the top grossing app on iOS in 2012.

She received her Master’s in Information Management & Systems from UC Berkeley and her B.A. in Mass Communications from UCLA. She was named to Forbes’ “Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs to Watch”,  “Top 12 Women in Gaming” in 2013 and one of Fortune’s “10 Most Powerful Women in Gaming.”

Ellen Leanse, Angel Investor and Founder Friday speaker favorite, will also be speaking at our San Francisco 2014 conference.

Innovator and online pioneer Ellen Leanse has worked in Silicon Valley for more than 30 years, with experience spanning early Apple, Google, Facebook application development, the Maker movement, and startup culture. Her collaboration with entrepreneurs in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Europe, along with North America, informs her views on tech’s impact on society, opportunity, and individuals. She is currently authoring and publishing work focused on ethics, gender, culture, and innovation. Ellen serves on the board of D-Rev, a social enterprise focused on improving health and quality of life through world class, globally affordable medical innovations.
