Fundable For The Non-In Crowd (Crowdfunding For Startups)

Raising capital for equity, or in return for a customized ‘pigs will fly t-shirt’.

By Heddi Cundle (Founder & CEO, myTab)

I signed up my startup myTab to Fundable recently. We need cash for myTab to scale. We’re doing well, things are on target yet investors will not go near a female single entrepreneur, not even if they’re blind drunk (the investors, just FYI). I’m like a Medusa to them! We’re getting rave reviews about myTab, scaling well, 40% return visitors, nearly 100k uniques a month and boostrapping like Goodwill. We’re getting there and we can shout above the noise quite easily.

Regardless, no one will invest because we don’t have that ‘lead guy’ on board. It’s a bit of a gender problem in Silicon Valley

Let’s Join The Manhattan Girls Club (Founding Tech Startups)

So over the past 10 years, since I’ve lived on the West Coast, I’ve only been to New York three times. The first was quite an eye opener – the city had been cleaned up (thanks Giuliani, for

A Pregnant Pause For The New Wave of Female Executives

By Heddi Cundle (Founder & CEO, myTab)

A friend recently complained that she’s not seen me for ages and expressed her disappointment that I hadn’t gone to her baby shower. I explained that I am incredibly busy with myTab.co, my startup, and how it’s a round-the-clock business.

She still didn’t understand why I’d not be interested in her new motherhood, coo’ing her with the type of attention any expecting mother… expects.

I told her that I’m simply too busy, I have my own baby

Startup America Partnership: The Best First Date Ever!

By Heddi Cundle (Founder & CEO, myTab)

It’s tough being a startup, putting yourself out there and hoping someone will love you back. So when I asked if myTab.co could be considered to join the Startup America Partnership, it felt slightly like asking the cool boy at school if he’d let us be in with his ‘in’ crowd. We know he’s popular, achingly good looking, and his IQ is off the charts.

Then a miracle happened -– he said yes! He not only said yes immediately but he also offered to introduce us to all his friends -– the business friends who have deals that we can utilize
