    My first visit to the Valley was in October of 2011. I was in Santa Clara attending a mobile dev conference when a friend suggested I stop by and chat with the partners at 500 Startups. What was meant to be a five minute meeting turned in to three days of getting to know the 500 team and then-batch founders. It was also the first real step I took to live my dream.

    500 Startup’s Newest Class Includes 9 Women-Led Startups

    Mountain View-based accelerator/incubator 500 Startups adds 15 women entrepreneurs to the family.

    27 startups were announced as the 500 Startups spring class. 9 have a woman on the founding team (33%). Not bad!
