High Schooler With Entrepreneurial Dreams Youngest Attendee Expected On February 14 For The Women 2.0 Conference

We encourage Kendall to check out the fashion-oriented companies and entrepreneurs who will be attending Women 2.0 Conference.

The youngest attendee to experience entrepreneurial inspiration at Women 2.0 Conference on February 14 in San Francisco will be freshman Kendall McCready from Urban School in San Francisco. Boasting a small community and focus on art, she is encouraged to nurture her talents and creative pursuits.

Kendall learned about Women 2.0 Conference from her mother who will be attending the conference with her. Aside from learning from all of the innovators and mentors who will be part of Women 2.0 Conference, she is especially excited to build knowledge for her own entrepreneurial efforts.

Kendall is an aspiring fashion designer who is currently working on a clothing line with a theme of feminism and gender-roles. She wants to change the way women view their body “one dress at a time.” Her current line was inspired in backlash to the “Warrior Woman” line by Samantha Cole in 2009. Kendall shared that, “women don’t have to be masculine in order to be strong.”

She embraces delicate, feminine styles in her collection this year and adopts her own creations into her wardrobe. Her grandfather gifted her a sewing machine when she turned eight years old, and she has not been able to keep herself from it since. As an aspiring fashion designer, there is no telling if she ever will.

We encourage Kendall to check out the fashion-oriented companies and entrepreneurs who will be attending Women 2.0 Conference. Modalyst is one such company selected as a finalist in the Women 2.0 PITCH SF 2013 Startup Competition to pitch onstage on February 14. Two more finalists, Maker’s Row and Mavatar, are other like-minded companies to look out who will also be presenting onstage.

Welcome to the Women 2.0 Conference, Kendall! We are excited to offer you a platform on which to launch your creative dreams.
