Collaborative Hacking With Stripe This Weekend In San Francisco

You provide the project, or start one with other coders who are attending. Your goal for the day should be to walk away having built something cool.

By Greg Brockman (Engineer, Stripe)

This weekend, Stripe will be running a relaxed hackathon, Sit Hack and Relax, at the Stripe office in San Francisco.

What’s different about this hackathon? Rather than furiously hacking away during an all-nighter, Stripe wants to make hacking collaborative and enjoyable. Whether you’re looking to work with other engineers from around the Bay Area or have a project you’ve been meaning to hack on, but haven’t found the time to begin, this is the hackathon for you. Our team will be there to help you improve your engineering skills or talk with you about your latest project.

You will leave the weekend having built something cool, made some new friends, and learned something new. Past projects have ranged from building a simple PHP website to adding a new feature to Git to assembling a 3-D printer. Beginners always welcome.

Stripe is committed to building an environment that is friendly for women, both in our company and our events. Female engineers at Stripe include Sheena Pakanati (co-founder of Mockingbird) and Amber Feng (author of CrowdDb).

Enjoy snacks, drinks, afternoon pizza and dinner provided by the Stripe team. RSVP on our Meetup event.
