By Dana Rosenberg (PITCH Coordinator, Women 2.0)

Our online judges have been busy reviewing all of the PITCH applications, with our conference now just weeks away. PITCH Finalists will be competing on stage for prize packages that would make any entrepreneur swoon!

Today we are excited to announce our first PITCH Finalist, Agorique, a B2B marketplace between independent fashion brands and vetted multi-brand retailers. Agorique is a combination of the experience co-founders, Alexa Buffum and Stephanie Halphen, have in the fashion industry, software and business development. Both have earned MBAs from IESE and are approaching Agorique with a mindset for global brands.

We can’t wait to hear more about what they’re doing to revolutionize the fashion industry at the conference. Watch them pitch live and get feedback from top-shelf investors!

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Agorique logoThe wholesale fashion industry is a $120 billion industry that is taking place offline. Traditionally, the fashion industry’s wholesale process operates via trade show, door-to-door, internet searches and press, which are seasonal, cost prohibitive, fragmented, and paper-based, costing designers and retailers time and money. Agorique disrupts the industry by bridging the offline with the online. Through selective criteria and industry experience we curate a portfolio of independent fashion brands and vetted multi-brand retailers providing them an exclusive B2B online trade show experience 365 days per year to improve the search, discovery and wholesale transactions. Agorique maximizes the potential of sales for brands and retailers while minimizing associated cost and time.
