Female Founders to Watch: Inspiring at Founder Friday

Why are we proud of our Founder Friday events? Because we know the impact relationships built there can have. See for yourself.

When we say that our Founder Friday events are a great place to forge real, meaningful relationships that can make a serious difference in the trajectory of your business, we’re not just speculating. Our excitement for our monthly meet ups in 19 cities is backed by seven years of success stories.

From co-founders who met over a glass of wine at a Friday Founder events, to coordinators and volunteers who plugged into their local startup scene (or built one nearly from scratch) and formerly tech-phobic women who got the courage to learn to code by attending these events, we’ve been privileged to hear back from a number of entrepreneurs whose careers and companies were deeply impacted by their participation. Here are some of the women who have spoken at Founder Friday and inspired countless women through their stories:


HeatherHiles Heather Hiles (Founder & CEO, Pathbrite)

Hiles is the founder of Pathbrite, a platform for creating portfolios online. Since launching last year, Pathbrite has received $4 million in Series A funding.  You can follow her on Twitter at @HeatherHiles.

 

cathy_edwardsCathy Edwards (CTO & Co-Founder, Chomp)

Since Edwards’ app search engine Chomp, was acquired by Apple for $50 million, she has gone on to work as the Head of Search and Management at Apple. Follow her on Twitter @CathyE.

 

Willo_O'BrienWillo O’Brien (Co-Founder, YxYY)

O’Brien has been busy growing her coaching/consulting business and launching three new products just this year. Her geek retreat, YesxYesYes, launched in March and sold out in 48 hours. Follow her @WilloLovesYou.

 

Truong (1)Thuy Truong (Co-founder & CEO, GreenGar)

After launching a frozen yogurt chain in Vietnam, Truong has been busy with GreenGar, which joined the ranks of 500 Startups earlier this year. One app from GreenGar has seen 8 million downloads. Follow Thuy on Twitter @thuymuoi.

 

Katia_HatKatia Beauchamp (Co-Founder, BirchBox)
