Ernst & Young Winning Women The "Most Unknown, Underrated & Undersubscribed – But Brilliant – Growth Accelerator Program For Women Entrepreneurs"

By Angie Chang (Co-Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Women 2.0)

Nominate a dynamic woman entrepreneur for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Winning Women for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to a top program accelerating high-growth entrepreneurs. Deadline for nominations is April 30, 2012.

To qualify, the entrepreneurs must be women CEOs who have founded their privately-held US companies within the past 10 years and have reported at least US$1 million in revenue during each of the past two. Typical applicant company revenue ranges from US$1 million to approximately US$20 million annually.

NYC-based entrepreneur Cindy Gallop praised the accelerator, saying:

“The Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Winning Women program has only been running for the past five years and is still relatively unknown – which is a huge shame for one of the most committed and practically useful female entrepreneur programs I’ve ever come across.”

The program showcases the women entrepreneurs onstage in front of “several thousand strong audience of movers and shakers at the annual E&Y Strategic Growth Forum in Palm Springs each fall, and make great connections happen. One past winner told me she attended the Growth Forum one November, and by the following March, thanks to the introductions made there, she had sold her company,” said Gallop.

Herb Engert, Ernst & Young’s Americas Strategic Growth Markets Leader, reports that “revenues of program participants’ companies have grown almost 50% each year on average, with a corresponding average annual job growth rate of more than 25%. We encourage you to read more about the impact of the program, its implications for women entrepreneurs everywhere who hope to build large businesses and how others can help them accelerate their companies’ growth.”
