Hearsay Social Raises $18M Series B, Founded by Clara Shih

Hearsay Social announced $18M in Series B funding today.
Hearsay Social “exists to keep corporations and their employees out of trouble on the internet and turn social media into a source of brand engagement, not embarrassment,” said Dean Takahashi at VentureBeat.
Clara Shih is the Founder & CEO of Hearsay Social.
Clara authored bestselling social media business book The Facebook Era, featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, CRM Magazine, Selling Power Magazine. Her book is being used as a marketing textbook at Harvard Business School. Follow her on Twitter at @clarashih.
Women 2.0 remembers Clara from the first Women 2.0 PITCH Night in 2008. About that event, Clara said “I was a finalist in the first PITCH (in 2007) with FindYourScene.com, a social events recommendation engine. Although we decided not to pursue the company, the experience writing a business plan and building a product prototype has been invaluable for my current venture.”
